Shan holds the British Psychological Society’s Certificate of Competence in Occupational Testing, is a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) with the International Coaching Federation (ICF), A Coaching Training Institute (CTI) Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC), a Careers Counselling Services Licensee, and MBTI and NEO PI-R qualified.

Shan has been a Governor of three academies, which form part of the David Ross Education Trust:

Havelock Academy, Grimsby; Malcolm Arnold Academy, Chair of Governors 2013-2014, Northampton; and Charnwood College, Loughborough.
